UGM Gandeng Universitas Negeri Teknik Bauman Moskow
Moskow – Universitas Gajah Mada (UGM) Yogyakarta menjalin
kerjasama dengan Bauman Moscow State Technical University (Universitas Negeri Teknik Bauman Moskow).
Kerjasama diteken oleh Wakil Rektor UGM Prof. Ainun Naim, Ph.D dan Wakil Rektor Universitas Teknik Bauman Prof. G.P. Pavlikhin di Moskow, 24/11/2009.
Kedua pihak sepakat untuk segera melakukan kegiatan joint degree program, double degree program, joint seminar & workshops, serta tukar menukar dosen dan mahasiswa, demikian Counsellor KBRI Moskow M. Aji Surya dalam rilis yang diterima detikcom hari ini.
Ainun Naim bersama timnya yang berjumlah 6 orang menyambut gembira terjalinnya kerjasama tersebut dan menyatakan akan segera melakukan implementasi dengan pengiriman beberapa dosennya ke Rusia.
“Kita memang terkesan dengan capaian dan tradisi keilmuan Bauman yang sudah sangat tua,” ujar Prof. Ainun.
Sementara itu Prof. Pavlikhin menyepakati kunjungan tim profesornya ke UGM pada April 2010. Mereka tidak hanya akan mengimplementasikan kesepakatan, tetapi juga akan melakukan pengajaran dan seminar dalam arti luas.
Universitas Negeri Teknik Bauman adalah perguruan tinggi teknik terbaik di Rusia, yang didirikan di 1830 saat puncak pertempuran yang dikobarkan oleh Pangeran Diponegoro di tanah Jawa. Lulusan Bauman telah merancang aneka pesawat, satelit dan nano teknologi. Lulusannya antara lain adalah Sukhoi dan Tupolev, yang namanya diabadikan sebagai nama pesawat kebanggaan Rusia.
Di sisi lain, tiga universitas Islam asal Rusia juga akan mengunjungi UIN Jakarta, Yogyakarta dan Malang. Ketiga rektor dari Universitas Islam Moskow, Universitas Islam Rusia di Kazan, Universitas Islam Kaukasus akan berangkat 27 November dan kembali 4 Desember.
Selain menjalin kerjasama dengan UIN, mereka juga akan digandeng oleh Universitas Muhammadiyah Jakarta (UMJ).
Dubes RI Moskow menyampaikan bahwa ragam kegiatan akademis di atas adalah buah dari usaha KBRI dalam setahun terakhir untuk mengembalikan kejayaan kerjasama bidang pendidikan bilateral sebagaimana tahun 1960-an. detik.com
